THE WORLD
Progress and power: these two concepts are the driving forces of Princes of War. Inspired by the political intrigue of the Renaissance and the magic reserved for Medieval stories, Princes of War takes place in a completely fictional setting with a sprawling world and huge cultural differences.

The story begins with Redmond Alloway and Tristan Faun as the scapegoats of a failed war, pinning them for treason against the fairly new crown in a shaky alliance between kingdoms. Along the way, the pair meet other characters that have been wronged by the king and his family.

Magic in this world is akin to alchemy, in the sense that there is a bit of science to make fantastic things happen. Magicked weapons are reserved for those of rank or those who can afford to place a spell upon them.

Third generation, descendant from a family of refugees. Would have been head of the Alloway family but was drafted into the military to prove the family's alliance and respect towards the king. Pinned as a traitor and the scapegoat for the failed end of a campaign with Tristan.

Captain turned traitor if only because he was set up to take the fall for a failed end of a campaign. Too honorable for life, as Redmond so puts it.
